Whilst working in a very lean business support team, we ensured the operations flowed seamlessly, whilst the company doubled in size. We had to be creative with keeping costs low, whilst investing in growth and rapidly solving problems. I always look to invest time early on to build strong and sincere relationships, creating a solid foundation for the team to function as one unit rather than a group of people.

Built the Finance Department from the ground up, putting in place key processes and controls. Responsible for managing the department spanning from day-to-day activities to reporting, business partnering and evaluating the business’ performance. Managed financial due diligence and post-acquisition integration for when the business was acquired.

Led audit engagements from planning to completion as the main point of contact for the client throughout the engagement. Audited clients across various industries including IT Services, FMCG, Financial Services and Charities with turnover ranging from £6m to £700m.

Joined one of the fastest growing startups in the UK fresh out of qualifying as an Accountant. Built the Finance Department from grass roots level and saw it all the way through the due diligence process when it was acquired by one of the largest optical players in Europe.
