A supercharged team I have been a part of
I was part of the core team that launched a new offer to serve changes needed as a result of the ‘Making Tax Digital’ legislation.
It was a big challenge. We had to understand the client needs to define, build and launch the software solution, go to market activities and our own internal infrastructure to serve some of the world’s largest clients. Each team member had a clear brief driving to the same overall purpose whilst building an integrated, sustainable and profitable working model.

Programme and governance lead across a range of projects to redesign and implement the most efficient and effective operating models. The range of projects included setting up an offshore central delivery team to create improvements for consistent local and global processes. This included managing senior leadership, writing business cases for change and training and coaching client teams on new delivery models.

Why I love what I do
Advances in technology can often make change a necessity. I enjoy the challenge of implementing this through legislative processes, within tight deadlines, and high internal & competitive pressures.
I love to understand the way in which companies work with these challenges, identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities for the best outcomes strategically and commercially.
A business result that I am proud of
Over the years, I have helped teams to maximise efficiency and remove monotonous elements from their process through the use of technology solutions, streamlining and changing their operating model.
A particular project that I am proud of is where we used all three elements in setting up a central shared service tax delivery team in Budapest.
This team supported and coordinated the delivery and reporting of tax returns across 42 countries using standardised processes and templates and was underpinned by a technology solution used for data collection through to governance.
This allowed the client to reduce the global external provider fees, for their senior team to focus on driving the business, and made the more use of the infrastructure that the company had already invested in.
